Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work, Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work


Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Specific Skills: Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, Provide health education, Provide supportive counselling and life skills programming


Additional Skills: General counselling


Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning
