Title: Capital Care Licensed practical nurse

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening

Salary: $20.88 to $27.09 Hourly for 38.75 hours per week, As per collective agreement

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Edmonton North, Alberta (6 vacancies ) 

Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure by the appropriate province or territory of work, Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination, First Aid Certificate


Experience: Experience an asset


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Home for the aged, Nursing or convalescent home


Area of Specialization: Intensive care, Pediatrics, Palliative care, General duty, Float


Registered Nursing Assistant Specific Skills: Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse, Distribute medication to patients, Change patients' dressings, Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families, Bathe and dress patients, Assist registered nurses with various medical procedures


Additional Skills: Monitor patients' progress and report any changes


Security and Safety: Bondable, Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Tuberculosis test


Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Ability to distinguish between colours, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods, Walking
