Health Care Job Capital Care Nursing attendant in Edmonton

Title: Capital Care Nursing attendant  

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Part Time, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening

Salary: $16.03 to $19.52 Hourly for 40 hours per week, As per collective agreement

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Edmonton North, Alberta (10 vacancies ) 

Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training


Experience: Experience an asset


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Nursing or convalescent home


Specific Skills: Lift, turn or massage patients, Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations and enemas, Bathe, dress and groom patients, Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher, Answer call signals, Collect specimens


Additional Skills: Supply and empty bed pans, Serve meal trays and feed patients, Deliver messages, reports, requisitions and specimens, Make beds and maintain patients' rooms, Maintain inventory of supplies


Security and Safety: Basic security clearance


Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling


Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation
