Title: Physical therapy aide (Exercise Therapist / Physio Aide / Reception Clerk)  

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day, Evening

Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of university


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Physical Therapist Assistant Diploma (PTA)


Experience: Experience an asset


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Office of health care professional, Rehabilitation centre


Physiotherapy Assistant Specific Skills: Accompany patients to treatment rooms, Assist patients with maintenance programs as directed/supervised by physiotherapist, Assist patients in the use of therapeutic equipment as directed/supervised by physiotherapist, Clean physiotherapy equipment


Additional Skills: Maintain records and inventories of supplies, Clean and maintain equipment, Order supplies and equipment, Schedule appointments, Maintain inventory of equipment, Perform general clerical duties


Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling


Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, Own vehicle


Essential Skills: Reading text, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Computer use, Continuous learning
