Title: Registered Nurse  

Terms of Employment: Casual, Part Time leading Full Time, On Call, Weekend, Evening

Salary: To be negotiated, As per collective agreement

Location: Edmonton South, Alberta (4 vacancies ) 
Location: Edmonton North, Alberta (4 vacancies ) 

Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work, Licensure as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse by the province of work, Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work, Eligible for licensure as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse by the province of work


Experience: Experience an asset


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Home for the aged, Nursing or convalescent home


Area of Specialization: General duty, Float, Geriatrics, Medical unit, Palliative care


Specific Skills: Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, Collaborate to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care, Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions, Provide health education, Provide nursing care, Provide supportive counselling and life skills programming, Provide consultative services regarding issues relevant to nursing profession and nursing practice, Engage in research activities related to nursing, Plan, develop, implement, monitor and evaluate health education services, Conduct disease screening, Deliver immunization programs, Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff


Additional Skills: Infection control
