Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of university


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work, Licensure as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse by the province of work, CPR certification


Experience: Experience an asset


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Nursing or convalescent home


Area of Specialization: General duty, Geriatrics


Specific Skills: Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, Collaborate to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care, Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions, Assist in surgery and other medical procedures, Deliver health education programs, Provide health education, Provide nursing care, Plan, develop, implement, monitor and evaluate health education services, Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff
